Ready, set, go!

Finally, my own blog. I’ve been thinking about getting one for quite a while now. Don’t really know what to share in this first post, is a bit “overwhelming”. I guess I could tell you how much I am looking forward to summer. But, I’ve packed on a few pounds over the winter, and I really don’t like the “new” me. I’m totally out of shape, and I don’t want to walk around in a bikini and be uncomfortable. My main goal is not to loose weight, but to tone up and manage to run the annual 10 kilometer run in May.



I’m following this simple running program:

Week 1
5 minute fast walk - 1 minute jogging - 5 minute fast walk - 1 minute jogging
Total = 12 minutes

Week 2
5 minute fast walk - 2 minute jogging - 5 minute fast walk - 2 minute jogging
Total = 14 minutes

And so on, you add 2 minutes in total to the jogging part each week. In about 8 weeks you should be able to run 5 km (ca 3 miles). No problem! Or?
